Privacy Policy

CDL Practice Test Pro (the “App”) does not require an account and does not send your study data to any server. The App displays ads via Google AdMob and offers an optional one-time purchase to remove them via RevenueCat; data collected by each is described below.
Information stored on your device
To make the App useful between sessions, the following information is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (no cloud sync):
- Your progress: questions answered correctly or incorrectly, and counts of incorrect answers per question.
- Your study goal, target test date and reminder time, if set.
- Theme preference (light/dark) and other interface settings.
This information is removed when you delete the App or clear the App’s data through your device settings.
Advertising
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), which may collect:
- Your device’s advertising identifier, only if you allow it via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt (iOS) or ad settings (Android). Otherwise non-personalised ads are shown.
- IP address, coarse location derived from IP, device model, OS version, language and similar technical data.
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks) used to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
Google acts as an independent data controller for the above. See the Google Privacy Policy. In the EU/UK, ad personalisation is gated behind a consent prompt.
In-app purchase
If you buy the ad-free upgrade, the purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play; we do not see your payment details. Purchase state is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your entitlement status to keep the ad-free upgrade working across reinstalls. Notifications
If you enable study reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated locally by the operating system: no notification content is sent through any server.
Data we (the developer) do not collect
We do not ask for and do not receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. We do not run analytics of our own and we do not sell data. The only third parties that receive data through the App are Google (AdMob) and RevenueCat, as described above.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. Because the App displays third-party ads, we do not knowingly enable ad personalisation for users under 13.
Third-party content
The App is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) or any state Department of Motor Vehicles. Practice questions are original content modeled on publicly documented federal CDL knowledge-test topic areas, not reproductions of any official item bank.
